How can I enable DVB subtitles in Kaffeine 1.0? (Also OSD)

Hello,

I use Debian. Until today, I was on lenny with kaffeine 0.8.3. It worked fine with my DVB-S card and displayed subtitles when I enabled them (right click > Subtitles > tracks).

Now I have upgraded to squeeze, with kaffeine 1.0. DVB-S still works fine, but subtitles are nowhere to be found. The right-click menu simply does not include a "Subtitles" entry, nor could I find them anywhere in the main menu.

I googled around and I could not find any reference to this problem, so apparently 1.0 *should* support DVB subtitles. So - how do I enable them?

Also, OSD now displays only one line from the EPG when I press O; in 0.8.3 I could get the full EPG quote. Perhaps this is expected but if possible I'd like the old behaviour back. I also mention this here because, as OSD works, Kaffeine does have access to a font.
