This may be an truly stupid question, but I cannot find info whether you actually need a "cardserver" running or can I use the sc-plugin "alone" with a smartcard reader? Could somebody please give me an example setup?
I figured it would go like this: card reader -> cardserver software ->sc-plugin, but is it possible to do it like this card reader -> sc-plugin? |

No. sc-plugin doesn't talk to cardreader itself.
Put NewCS in beetween. |
