My DVB-card - Omicom S2 PCI-E rev. 3. Drivers installed, dmesg | grep DVB:

run kaffeine, he sees my card  , but if i try scan transponders, error "not found device": 
Device /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0 exists, access permissions - 777.
OS - Ubuntu 10.04, kernel 2.6.32-35. Kaffeine 1.2.2, 1.1, 1.0 pre3 - error to all.
What am I doing wrong?

P.S. kaffeine 0.8.8 scan transponders, get channel list. But if i try watch any FTA channel, no work (black screen, no video, no audio). terminal:

looks good so far. The system recognizes and initializes the card ok.
Can you try if DVB works with mplayer?
This seems to be a bug in kaffeine. I will forward it to the developer.
About kaffeine 0.8.8: This version is not maintained / updated any more. I guess you are missing the 'libxine1-all-plugins' package. |

How version? version 1.1.17 from repositories Ubuntu 10.04 install, video file plays normal. |

| Check if kaffeine works as root user, if it does see if there is a "video" group that you have to add your ordinary user to. |
