Hello,

I recently installed Kaffeine and I would like to use it with my Happauge DVB-C card. I know the card is working because I was able to build a channels.conf file using scandvb under Fedora 8. When I lauch Kaffeine, it recognizes that there is a DVB card intalled, but I can not configure a "Source" because there is nothing listed in the drop-down menu. Is that normal if it is an ATSC card?

I was able to follow the directions from here to create my channels.dvb file using the channels.conf file that I created usinig scandvb:

However, I can not tune any channels. All I get is a blank screen, and the OSD is also blank. I'm not sure where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated.

One thing I should have added. I had to redirect the output from atsc-converter from the console into the channels.dvb file. Otherwise, the list was only displayed on the screen. Is that normal? Here is the contents of the channels.dvb file:

which kaffeine version are you using? (run 'kaffeine -v' from a terminal).

ATSC scanning support was added to kaffeine in Version 0.8.7

The patch was done by Devin Heitmueller, see this post if you have problems with the current implementation in kaffeine 0.8.7
